Liberman Broadcasting, Inc. Opens In-House Rep Firm in Chicago

August 27, 2007; Chicago, IL – Liberman Broadcasting, Inc. (LBI) has been expanding its Spanish-language services throughout key U.S. Hispanic markets and is proud to announce the expansion of its national sales representation firm, Spanish Media Rep Team (SMRT), through the opening of its first office in Chicago, Illinois.

 Led by Chicago native Sofia Carrera, a graduate of Loyola University Chicago and a thirteen-year professional in the Spanish media industry, SMRT’s newest office in Chicago will service the entire Midwestern region of the US. Carrera’s media experience has ranged from being a Local Sales Manager and General Sales Manager at successful radio stations across the US and, most recently, was National Sales Manager of KTCY-FM and KZZA-FM in Dallas, Texas. Carrera’s success in the Spanish broadcasting industry has led her back to her Chicago hometown. 

“I’ve been working at Liberman Broadcasting’s Dallas operation for the past year and I am excited to be a part of such a successful company in the Hispanic market.  It’s nice to be back in Chicago.  I’ve missed this great city while I was away.  I look forward to servicing the vast and growing number of clients that call the Midwest their home,” says Carrera. “We are fortunate to have a professional like Sofia open our first office in Chicago.
